1. Your plan

The Website Care Plan costs $149 per month including GST. There’s no setup fee. Payments are made monthly in advance.

2. Minimum term

There’s a minimum term of 12 months from launch. After that the plan continues month to month until either of us gives 30 days’ notice.

3. What’s included

Custom design and build of a website of up to 5–7 pages; managed hosting; SSL; daily backups; security and core updates; domain registration or connection of your existing domain; email DNS setup (MX, SPF, DKIM) and either 1–2 basic mailboxes or help connecting Google Workspace or Microsoft 365; up to 60 minutes of simple content changes per month (unused time doesn’t roll over); and email support with replies within 1–2 business days.

4. What’s not included

Full online shops, unlimited or complex changes, ongoing SEO content writing, major redesigns and same-day emergency support. We’re happy to quote for any of these.

5. Extra work

Anything outside the plan is quoted in writing first. We only start once you’ve approved the quote.

6. Your domain

If we register a domain for you, we hold it and pay for it during your first 12 months. Once your minimum term is complete and your account is up to date, the domain is yours and we’ll transfer it into your name on request. If you already own a domain, it stays in your name throughout.

7. Your email

Email accounts are owned by you. If you use Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, you hold that account and pay the provider directly. We handle the technical setup and basic troubleshooting within your monthly support.

8. Your content and website

Everything you supply (text, photos, logos) remains yours. You give us permission to use it to build and run your website. Once your 12-month minimum term is complete, your WordPress website (its content and site files) is also yours.

9. Cancelling in the first 12 months

If you cancel before your 12-month minimum term ends, you can take your domain and your WordPress website content with you by paying a cancellation fee of $600 incl. GST. Once it’s paid, we’ll transfer the domain to you and provide your site files and content.

10. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate content, to have the right to use any material you send us, and not to use the site for anything unlawful.

11. If you leave

After your minimum term, cancel any time with 30 days’ notice. We’ll transfer your domain into your name and hand over your WordPress website (content and site files).

12. Late payments

If payments fall overdue we may pause your website after giving you notice.

13. The legal bit

We take care to keep your site running and backed up, but we can’t guarantee uninterrupted service. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
