Privacy policy
How we handle your personal information, in plain English.
Spiders Web Design & Hosting (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
When you use our contact form, email us or call us, we collect the details you give us. This may include your name, business name, email address, phone number and anything you tell us about your business or project.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, prepare a free homepage preview or quote if you ask for one, provide our services if you become a client, and keep records of our dealings with you. We don’t sell your information, and we won’t add you to marketing lists without your permission.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where it’s needed to provide our services, for example with our website hosting and email providers, or where the law requires it.
Storage and security
Enquiries are sent to our business email and kept only as long as we need them. We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure. Our website uses SSL encryption.
Website data
Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses and browser types) for security and performance.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Contact us at hello@spidersweb.co.nz or 027 438 6226. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
